Software Assist Releases FTP/WatchDog

Cupertino, CA, June 30, 2008 – Software Assist Corporation announced today the availability of FTP/WatchDog for real-time monitoring of open system FTP usage.

"With today’s highly regulated business climate (SOX, HIPAA, GLBA), organizations are required to transfer data responsibly." says Software Assist President, Scott Myers. "FTP usage has grown exponentially across the enterprise over the past few years, in spite of the fact that most FTP file transfers are unsecured and do not meet today’s regulatory requirements. FTP/WatchDog provides comprehensive real-time monitoring of FTP activity on distributed systems (Linux, UNIX, Windows). All FTP log data is accumulated in an SQL database to meet the long-term archive and auditability requirements of today’s businesses. Interactive, automated analysis of FTP activity is accomplished via a Windows application. FTP/WatchDog supports FTP management by exception and trend analysis, and provides the actionable information companies need to identify non-compliant FTP activity and protect the organization from FTP security breaches that could cost them millions in fines and lost revenue.
